During the upcoming Chamber of Commerce First Night event, artists from the Weaver Art Gallery will be teaching the children some painting techniques and basic drawing skills. The kids will also have the opportunity to get their faces painted and be photographed as Father Time or Baby New Year. First Night event takes place on Main Street in the Auditorium, December 31st between 4:00PM and 9:00PM... See you there!

Weaver Art Gallery wants to thank everyone who stopped by during the Parade of Lights in downtown Sturgis on December 5th. We had a great time serving hot chocolate, coffee and cookies to you on a rather chilly night.

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008 we are hosting our 1st Art auction & Silent auction fund raiser. The events start at 4:00pm. Join us for refreshments and fun.

Raffle tickets on sale at the gallery for a beautiful framed giclee of Bob Yorks "Vision Over Bear Butte" original acrylic painting. Tickets go for $5.00 each or a book of 5 tickets for $20.00. Drawing to be held at 7:00pm, Saturday, November 22nd, 2008 at the end of our art auction & silent auction fund raiser. You need not be present to win.

Our artists reception featuring Ann Hubbard, Bill Cissell & Don Lindstron took place on October 30th, 2008 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Once again, everyone in attendance had a great time.

The Weaver Gallery artists would like to thank our Sturgis Chamber of Commerce who hosted national and international journalists at the Weaver Art Gallery on Wednesday, September 24th, 2008. Many of our local artists were on hand, along with Mayor Maury LaRue, Chamber members and local business owners to introduce the journalists to a different side of Sturgis. The journalists who came from all over the world were pleased to see the variety of talent offered by the gallery. Everyone was on hand to answer the numerous questions about their work and our beautiful state.
