Dale Lamphere
Dale Lamphere is nationally recognized with sculpture located from the Basilica of the National Shrine in Washington, D.C. to the Eisenhower Medical Center in California.
He has completed over forty large-scale public works exploring a broad range of materials and subjects from monumental landscapes to human forms to abstract. The common thread is a sense of the natural, lyric gesture and full volume that he sees in the environment.
In his new work this thread continues as a more distilled expression. The natural stone sets the character of the sculpture; and the metal creates a context. The result is a dialogue between materials, light and sense-of-place.
